Deer Lake Athletic Club Fundraiser - Clarkston Fieldhouse Project
On Saturday, October 13, 2012, 6 p.m., a dinner dance/auction is being held at Deer Lake Athletic Club to benefit the Clarkston Fieldhouse Project. This is going to be a really fun event that includes dinner, dancing and both live and silent auction items.
Each team (7th, 8th, Freshman, JV and Varsity) is being asked to donate themed items to be included in a gift basket to be auctioned off. Our 7th Grade Teams are "Family Fun Night”. This means that we will be asking for games, movies, popcorn, blockbuster videos etc… and will be grouping these together as a packaged auction item. Erika Heaton is our team coordinator and will be accepting donations between now and the deadline of October 9. Our goal is to have the biggest basket from the youngest football team!!!!!
Additionally, parents that are interested in attending the dinner dance on October 13 should contact Erika for tickets at ([email protected]) or 248-459-1355.
Pricing is as follows:
Single tickets: $75 per person
Couples: $140
Table of 10: $650
There will also be tickets available at the door at a reduced price for those of you that cannot be present at dinner but would still like to attend later and join in the festivities and auction. We hope to see you there!

ESPN The Magazine Fundraiser 2012
UPDATE: Our fundraiser for 2012 has concluded and it was a tremendous year for our team. Thank you to everyone for your help. If anyone is still interested in purchasing a subscription the online subscriptions are always available and we'll receive credit whenever a purchase is made.
Due to quickly evaporating sports budgets it has become necessary for us to conduct some fundraising efforts in order to maintain the program. The ESPN The Magazine Fundraiser worked well for us last year and we hope it can be as successful moving forward.
WHY THIS FUNDRAISER?
There are some great benefits of this fundraiser for us as a team. The first is that for every $40 subscription we sell the program keeps $30 dollars (75% goes directly to our program). Second, all you need to do is find someone who will buy a subscription, collect the payment and turn it in - no need to worry about picking up steaks or cookies and then delivering them door to door. Third, you can easily sell subscriptions online to friends and family anywhere in the country.
WHY SHOULD SOMEONE BUY THIS?
The fundraiser has several benefits for any sports junkie. For $40 dollars ($30 of which we keep right in our program) they get a 2 year subscription to the magazine (52 issues total). Along with that they can access the magazine online and through an iPad if they have one. Even better they will gain access to ESPN Insider with their subscription which gives them the ability to read content they would normally have to pay for (This is great for the Fantasy Football fans out there). So along with feeling good about helping out our program there's actually some very cool benefits that they get as well.
WHEN IS THIS FUNDRAISER GOING TO BE?
Order forms and information will be distributed the week of August 20th. We will have one month for our fundraiser and will collect forms by September 14th. Please let those who buy know it may be a month or two before they receive their subscription due to processing time. For those interested in the fastest processing times please recommend they buy online using our team ID#94820. Note: While the website does not specifically state Sashabaw Wolves the link given is dedicated specifically to our team. Feel free to give me a list of people who signed up online and I can try and cross-reference it, but please do not write their name/address on the signup sheet that was passed out to each player.
